If you have been into internet marketing for a while, you may have undoubtedly encountered a One Time Offer (OTO). The offer would have originated from a form you filled out or something along that line. If you have already been using OTOs, you may have implemented them from the Butterfly Marketing package from Mike Filsaime or the Motivated Marketing Script – both of which enable you to produce your own OTOs.
An OTO is a great way to increase your internet marketing income because after someone signs up or subscribes for your free offer or product, you present them with a One Time Only, high value offer for additional products or services that relate to or add to the original free offer. Since the offer is presented as a One Time Only offer, a sense of urgency to act is created and the subscriber may become more motivated to purchase your offer.
In order for the offer to convert well, the offer content has to consist of a very good value to the potential purchaser. If the offer is low quality, it will not convert well. The idea here is to go the extra mile and give your subscriber more than he/she would expect for a given price so that the conversion will be made.
Now, I recently ran across not one, but two ways you can have your own OTO without buying any new software or script.
OTO Goldmine is a brand new memebrship site that is free to join. The idea behind the site is fantastic and here is how it works:
When you join OTO Goldmine, you can select an OTO to use on your website or affiliate link. The OTO Goldmine site creates a snippet of code for you which, when you place on your site, will present the OTO you slected from the membership area. If a purchase is made, you get 75% of the purchase price. Currently, there are two $67 offers, 1 $47 offer, 1 $37 offer, 1 $27 offer and 1 $19 offer, with more being planned for later. The OTOs that are available in the member area are a very good value as well and will present a high value to the potential purchaser. Currently the $67 offers are converting at 3%.
Another way to present your own OTO is to use a free OTO script from David John Thomas. This simple script allows you a means to present an OTO with your own products that you put together yourself on your existing website.
I recommend using OTOs to increase your marketing revenue. They are a great tool when used correctly and are certainly behind making a lot of marketers a lot of money.
